Now that you have your loads booked it’s time to upload them to the app. Why take these extra steps? These documents in the app serve two purposes. First, they can be sent to your factoring company or invoiced which will help you get paid faster. Second, they allow TrueNorth to give you business insights.

With our revolutionary TrueRate native to the TrueNorth app, you will be able to see which loads are profitable and which loads you should avoid. This allows you to be efficient and to act quickly on loads without have to do the math, the app does it for you.

What is TrueRate?

TrueRate is available in the TrueNorth app and acts as an estimator on how profitable each load will be. It takes into account the pay of the load, deducts estimated fuel and operational costs, then divides that by the days driving to deliver the load.

You can learn more about the inner workings of it here: How is TrueRate Determined?

Can You Adjust Settings?

Absolutely. We know every operation is different. You can go in and adjust your preferences/costs to your TrueRate so that it can adjust earnings based on your costs. With your preferences made, the app is tailored to your business.

Driver Preferences

It is here where you can adjust your daily profit goal, number of working days, your average miles driven and your tractor’s miles per gallon.

Monthly Costs

Your monthly truck payment, trailer payment, insurance, tolls, and other expenses are listed here and can easily be adjusted.

Yearly Costs

You will also want to take into account the annual renewals for your business as well. Here you can adjust your license, permits, IFTA, etc.

Operating Costs per Mile

Specifically made for maintaining your tractor it is here that you can adjust your expected cost per mile for upkeep and maintenance. It’s suggested that you save at least 13 cents per mile for maintenance.

How Does TrueRate Work?

When you search for a load on LoadCentral, the search results will include a green, blue, or red icon next to them. You are getting a quick overview of the loads that will be profitable and which one’s will not be. You can click into the load details screen to see the breakdown of load and the TrueRate calculations on how much profit per day you will be making.

Importance of Using TrueRate

Utilizing TrueRate in your load search gives you a competitive advantage. You are no longer looking at loads blindly and trying to do the quick math in your head. With TrueRate as your companion you have all the information you need in front of you to book with confidence that your rate is a profitable one.
